Complete you contribution to the Indigenous History Month Awareness Campaign DUE FRIDAY
Read Chapters 25-27 (inclusive) and answer the following questions using a proper paragraph with specific textual references.
The Electronic Version of the TED Talk is DUE Tuesday, May 28th.
Students must submit a video of them presenting the TED Talk script (memorized) with the codes and conventions of a TED Talk with consideration to Mise En Scene OR students should submit a slideshow of appropriate images and text with a voice over of their TED Talk embedded in it. Students have had time to work on this in class. The video production must be completed for homework and the script that was written in class must be used. This Friday: Reading Response questions for Indian Horse are due Friday! Make sure to use your class time wisely so this does not have to go home for homework.
On the Weekend:
This Monday: You should have your thesis ready along with three body paragraphs (including quotes) to support why your independent novel study book is a MUST READ because it will call people to action or challenge social or political views in an impactful way. Monday, April 28: Chapters 2-10 should be done and ready to be assessed.
Friday, May 3: Chapters 11-24 should be submitted. ALL STUDENTS MUST ATTEND CLASS THIS WEEK FOR A STUDENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE TO PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING RST. You are expected to INDEPENDENTLY submit YOUR OWN COPY of the answers to these questions. You may not work in groups because I am assessing your individual understanding and the organization of your ideas. This feedback will help you in your future evaluations.
Read Chapter 1 and complete the assigned questions to show your understanding of the text and your application of literary criticism.
Using information from the literary discussions and the in-class lecture on Literary Criticisms, students are expected to fill in the argument proposal in the ISU section of this website (or the hard copy provided in class) and to submit it at the start of class on Wednesday, April 23rd. The student-teacher conferences will take place from April 23-26 during class time.
The Window of Opportunity closes on April 26th, at which time the students who have not completed this task will receive a No Evidence for this portion of the Rich Summative Task. |
